Ranger/Necro
Hey, im new to the forum and sort of new to the game, ive made a R/N and im not sure about a few things, for starters which attribute from the necro class should i use, blood magic, death magic, or curses? which would work the best, and what attributes from the ranger class do i use?, right now im using marksmanship and wilderness survival, so if anyone has made one before please let me know what i need to have a well rounded R/N. Also what skills are good to use?
thanks, P-bone |

I don't run a R/N, but a Curse type Ranger seems to be a solid choice. You can cast Weaken Armor, before attacking your enemies, and you have a choice of good anti Warrior/Ranger hexes like Enfeeble, Shadow of Fear, and Faintheart. I heard also that Rend Echnantments is a great way to get rid of your Target's enchantments...but in the earlier stages you can just use Strip Echantment, even if you don't put points into Blood, Strip Enchantment gets the principal job done.

well my first character was a R/N and it's been my main ever since. the most important attribute for a range is expertise as it lowers the cost of energy it take to use your skills. this comes in handy because you only have 20 engery as your base.
The only thing i've ever used necro for is the self healing skills, however they can cause problems as some of them require you to touch your target. Recently i have stoped using my necro skills altogether because i found that a sold ranger build works better for me, especially since i can use the extra attr. points to up my marksmanship and now i hit for an average of 40 base damage. |

I'm not sure what is "best", but the most fun I have had in the game is my R/N. I went Death/Mark/beast. I dont use alot of the attack skills it just to much fun watching my Wolf (the one from the worm field pre-searing) lead an army of dead into battle. I spend my time retargeting my pet and picking up loot The marksmenship adds enough base damage to make you a contributor. The only bad part is when you join a group that has 4 other Necros and you start fighting for corpses.
